Format:
All manuscript files (either in English or Urdu) should be in Microsoft Word Format.
Font & Size:
English: Gentium, 11 pt.
Urdu: MS Word, Jameel Noori Nastaleeq, 13 pt.
Word Count:
The preferred length for research papers will be up to 10,000 words, whereas for articles it would be 5,000 to 6,000 words.
Avoid unrelated discussions.
Citations:
The 9th Edition of MLA should be followed in both languages (Guidelines)
The title, authors, and affiliations should all be included on a title page as the first page of the manuscript file.
The abstract should be typed in a single paragraph in 150-200 words.
Transliteration of Urdu: Rules to follow
We usually do not entertain unsolicited manuscripts. But if you are interested in submitting papers for this journal, you will need to indicate your intention to submit your paper by email to the Chief Editor or Guest Editor with the title of the paper, author(s), and abstract. The full manuscript, as a Word file (in English & Urdu), should be emailed to the Chief Editor / Guest Editor by the deadline indicated below.

Urdu Research papers; book reviews; and translations from any language into Urdu; may be emailed to the Chief Editor (urdustudies@proton.me). Research papers in English; book reviews; and Urdu-English translations; may be emailed to the Guest Editor (rizvifatima67@gmail.com). Authors are requested to submit research papers/ translations/ book reviews in Urdu or English by 31st May each year. They will be notified about acceptance/ revision/ rejection by 30th June. Revised papers should be emailed by the 15th of July. The journal will be published online in August.

The authors are encouraged to use language-editing and copyediting services so that there are least errors. It is their responsibility to ensure that the manuscript presents a technically as well as grammatically correct copy.
