Prof. Fatima Rizvi is a Professor in the Department of English and Modern European Languages at the University of Lucknow. Her academic interests include postcolonial studies and literature in translation, with a particular focus on Urdu literature in English translation. She has translated Beyond the Stars & Other Stories, a collection of Qurratulain Hyder’s early short fiction, and has co-edited Understanding Disability: Interdisciplinary Critical Approaches. An accomplished scholar, translator, and editor, Prof. Rizvi’s work bridges literary traditions, making significant contributions to cross-cultural understanding and the dissemination of South Asian literature to wider audiences.
